Pink x Pink x Pink! Artsy Night out in Victoria Beckham for Target

Victoria-Beckham-target

Let’s go to an art museum with a 2-year-old. Not the brightest idea, but if you want to infuse about 20 minutes of art and culture into your Saturday night, it’ll work. Of course, never let your toddler out of your sight (or arms) unless you have $15K+ laying around or your Visa handy to buy a piece of art. Of course, we were super careful and enjoyed a night out last month in the Dallas Design District where multiple galleries were hosting exhibits.

We started out at Samuel Lynne Galleries with a special exhibition by METIS ATASH! The baby Buddha sculptures are about 18 inches tall with acrylic pain and decked out in genuine Swarovski crystals. There was also an exhibit by the extremely edgy photographer, Tyler Shields. He was lens behind the recent photo with Kathy Griffin that resulted in a media firestorm and Griffin being fired from CNN. But on a lighter note, let’s head to the art exhibit. Wilhelmina and I both wore a couple looks I snagged at the Victoria Beckham for Target collaboration the morning it launched…

The Victoria Beckham for Target Collaboration – Thumbs Up of Down? Super svelte Victoria Beckham can pull off most looks, but I tried on many pieces that looked great on the hanger and Posh Spice, but not so good in the mirror. Although I loved this Tulip dress I bought (on clearance for $10.50 now!), for the most part I didn’t see the craziness the morning of the launch for this collection (only about 30 people there for the opening). In Dallas, you could still find pieces available weeks later after the April launch and many are on sale now online.

Dallas Design District Sidenote: If you’re visiting Dallas soon, here’s D Magazine’s ‘Insiders Guide to the Dallas Design District‘. I highly recommend going to future art events in Dallas if you want a fun, eclectic night out perfect for people watching and admiring art. Make sure to check out the new hot spot – Town Hearth.

Prada Popcorn One of the most tame photos I can share of the Tyler Shields collection. You can visit the gallery or see the rest here.

Victoria Beckham for Babies – I actually ended up loving the little girl and baby collection in the Victoria Beckham for Target collection more than the women’s styles. Like this bee print body suit or Wilhelmina’s tulip dress. (Sidenote: Most is on sale now at least 30% off and there is a lot left in the girl’s collection. Perfect for stylish Back-to-School shopping!)

  1. Dale, you look gorgeous in that outfit! What a fabulous pink. I saw the pants, but didn’t know about the top. Her collection for kids was super fabulous as well. I got one black dress, but I’m on the fence. What an amazing exhibit! That Prada popcorn pic makes me SMILE >.< Again, you look great.

  2. Love this pink on you, Dale! You are giving your daughter a dose of art and culture early in life-so smart. I enjoy learning more about the Dallas scene from you. I’m putting it on my travel list now that Scott is retiring THIS WEEK (big bash here at the country club tomorrow! ;).
We are having a heat wave here…Have a great week!
    xx, Heather
