Anti-aging Satin Pillowcases for Hair, Skin & Lashes

Naughty or Nautical

Do you fight naughty or nice? A few nights before Christmas my husband and I got into a little argument, like any married couple, and I made a rude comment which I quickly learned doesn’t really fly when you’re married to an only child. If you’ve ever dated or are married to an ‘only child,’ you’ll have a whole new perspective on personalities. They didn’t grow up with siblings and the daily bickering, joking and teasing that comes with the territory in big families…meaning they might be a bit more sensitive.

After my childlike statement, my husband looked over at me

with his sensitive little eyes and I could see I hurt his feelings – but he had a comeback. ‘Well, I guess someone is going to have to give Santa a call tomorrow and tell him not to bring you anything,‘ he said with a smile on his face. Nooo! After apologizing, I made a mental note to always ‘fight nice‘ in the future. Whether you were naughty or nice this year, I hope you enjoyed your holidays! And if you’re hitting up the ‘After Christmas Sales,’ here’s a few of my favorite styles and trends (under $50) from a quick trip to Barcelona earlier this month in this nautical inspired look…

 The Scene ~ Barcelona, Spain

Aviators ~ I love aviator style glasses and think they’re flattering for men & women. Depending on your face shape, choose the mostly flattering size frame. I always find aviators at TJ Maxx, Nordstrom or malls for $30 or less each season.

A Winter White Jumpsuit ~ I found this jumpsuit (new) at H&M for $20, but it was too chilly to wear alone so I threw on this navy sweater. (Style Sidenote – If you have a long torso or just want to look taller by wearing heels, I recommend going 1 size up from what you usually wear because jumpsuits never look good when they’re too small or short)

Vintage ~ I found this necklace at a vintage shop off one of the old cobblestone streets in Barcelona for 9 Euros. While everyone might be crowding malls to return Xmas gifts this week, check out your local vintage shops for a crazy pair or earrings or a gaudy gold 70’s necklace for New Years Eve!

Red Lips! ~ Check Sephora for the holiday gift deals! I just found this ‘Makeup Forever‘ kit including red lipstick, HD powder and more for under $30. PS – If you’ve ever had lipstick spill in your purse, these holders by Hobo the Original are perfect. It has a tiny mirror on the bottom too! $38

<DETAILS by Dale> Hobo Lipstick holder c/o (Similar here at Nordstrom) / H&M Beige Jumpsuit (recent) / Vintage Necklace / purse & heels – Gucci Outlet / Zara sweater / hair – 1001 Extensions / Nails – OPI ‘Mod About You

I unplugged the past few days spending a fun and snowy Christmas break in Frankfurt, Germany. I hope you enjoyed the holidays and are you planning to shop the ‘after Christmas’ sales or are you ‘shopped out?’
