End of Summer Love & Lace

Tis the season for an affair in lace. Whether it be layered under a blazer for a date or cobalt blue dyed dress, lace details have been all over this summer and fall. My family and I met up in Denver, Colorado last weekends for my cousin’s nuptials in the oh-so-gorgeous Rockies. The outdoor ceremony was beautiful leading into an evening of dancing, dining and catching up with cousins I haven’t seen for years.

My sister, Jody, wore a lace crop top and floral skirt while I stuck with a bright blue lace dress. Strappy sandals seemed like a good idea, but as midnight rolled around our heels were throbbing. Here’s a quick peak at my ‘Love & Lace’ wedding diary from last weekend…

Wearing sky high stilettos to a wedding? Always stuff a pair of ballerina flats somewhere for the venue for later.

We’re off to another wedding this weekend in wine country here in California. I hope you have a great weekend and on a side note, I was so sad when I heard the news yesterday that Joan Rivers had died. She was a huge inspiration for me and so funny, witty and fashionable. Friday nights will never be the same without Joan hosting E!’s Fashion Police.
