‘Red is such an interesting color to correlate with emotion, because it’s on both ends of the spectrum. On one end you have happiness, falling in love, infatuation with someone, passion, all that. On the other end, you’ve got obsession, jealousy, danger, fear, anger and frustration.’ ~Taylor Swift.
Leave it to Taylor to bring some over-the-top drama to one of my go-to primary colors. Although the truth is ‘red‘ is one of those romantic, enticing colors that can be worn in small doses with any casual outfit – even for women I’ve heard say ‘I can’t wear red.’ I caught a bit of the scarlet fever a couple weeks ago and here’s a few of my favorite simple ways to add pops of red to any Spring look…
<The Scene ~ A sunny day in Switzerland>
<Daffodils in a shade of blood orange>
<A single pair of classic Louboutin’s>
<A pop of Russian Red lipstick >
<DETAILS by Dale> Jeans & top ~ Zara (recent), bracelet c/o ~ LILITH & MCRAE, heels ~ Christian Louboutin, highlighted cheekbones with MAC ‘Mineralize Skinfinish,’ lipstick ~ Mac Russian Red (Shop the Post Below)
Is red lipstick a ‘Do’ or ‘Don’t’ for you?
