Happy Spa Week! The bi-annual event takes place this week Oct. 14-20th. If you’ve ever bought a Groupon ‘Spa Deal,’ then as Forest Gump says, ‘you never know what you’re gonna to get.’ One of the best spa experience I’ve had was five days before our wedding at Nob Hill Spa in San Francisco. (More on that below).
On a sidenote, I’m excited to announce Savvy Sleepers was handpicked to be one of the featured boutiques at the annual Skin Spirit holiday shopping boutique on Nov. 7th. The luxury spa & clinic has locations in Palo Alto, Walnut Creek and Mill Valley. Event Details here.
Lastly, I just found out the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 4 premieres Nov. 4th. This was the cast that got me hooked on the Real Housewives. Do you watch any of the Real Housewives?
Back to Nob Hill Spa. The pic above is a photo of my sister, Jody, after I did her makeup a couple years ago. If you have a sister, maybe you can relate to having completely different skin types. She’s never had a facial and rarely ever has a blemish. I, on the other hand, have had sensitive skin my entire life and didn’t get it under control until my mid 20′s.
Just before our wedding, I got a facial at Nob Hill Spa in San Francisco. The major perk is you can take advantage of relaxing in the spa before your treatment or sip on champagne by the pool overlooking the city. The European facial was customized to my skin and as I walked out, my pores felt smaller, my skin was glowing and it’s one of the few facials I’ve had where I didn’t immediately apply foundation to cover redness. I wish I could get a facial there every month. For now, my Clarisonic and ‘Dramatically Different’ Clinique lotion is my at-home alternative.
Happy Spa Week and I’ll see you tomorrow!
