Since the final season of Breaking Bad started, my hubby and I make a weekly Southwestern feast. It’s complete with chicken fajitas, guac, ‘Mexican Style‘ Rice-a-Roni imported from San Francisco and washed down with my new favorite fresh-fruit margarita, BLACKBERRY. If you live near a wild blackberry patch to pick them yourself, it’s all the more fun. (Above my Vine video following this recipe).
On a serious sidenote, how intense were the last couple episodes? Coming from a Northern California area with its fair share of meth addiction; Heisenberg blue or not, this season depicts just how unglamorous and destructive the drug is to anyone and their family.
Something even more disturbing and REAL are yesterday’s reports of the Russian drug ‘Krokodil‘ hitting the US with two cases in Arizona’s poison control. Krokodil is 3 times cheaper than heroin and is ‘created by mixing codeine with gasoline or oil, filtering it and then injecting the concoction into the users body.’ The side effects are more terrifying than meth causing skin to resemble a crocodile turning green, scaly, eating itself or worse. So scary! Have you heard about this and are you watching the season finale of Breaking Bad this Sunday?
I hope you have a great weekend and I’ll see you Monday! ~xoDale
