If you’re throwing a party for 100+ people, what’s most important for you? Deciding on the wedding venue is a big decision. When I first saw photos a few years ago of our location, I knew it was perfect. It’s a gem of a venue owned by a Healdsburg winery on top of a hill overlooking vineyards for as far as the eye can see.
It’s 100 miles north of SF and a fraction of the price in Napa and Sonoma, but what I loved about the secluded spot was that there were no time restrictions, no hosted bar drama and we had the venue the entire weekend. Here’s the ‘Behind the Scenes’ by Allen David Photography of our reception in Hopland, California…
We finally decided on this blush dress from Macy’s for the bridesmaids and navy blue slim fit suits for the men. We kept the rest of the details simple, white and silver.
I always wanted to get married on a warm summer’s Nor-Cal night. Thankfully the temps stayed in the 80′s the entire evening.
Some of the groomsmen prepping to deliver their touching speeches (my 2 younger brothers on the left). The guys wore custom made pocket squares coordinated with the bridesmaid dresses.
There were about 180 guests total of family and friends from around the world.
Hassia Waters International in Germany sponsored our wedding with its mineral water from a private source called Liz for our guests throughout the night.
And once the dinner and speeches concluded; it was time for cake, dancing and unscheduled champagne showers until past midnight. We’re eagerly awaiting the professional pics from Summer Wilson Photo and her amazing team. Thanks for all the nice comments on Monday’s ‘Moments after the ‘I Do’ post.
I hope you’re having a great week so far! ~xoDale
