When the lights go down in the city of SF; there’s no place I’d rather be than perched in Potrero Hill watching the sunset over the City by the Bay. With abundant parking and beautiful views, this neighborhood is a year-round treat on clear nights.
Today, I want to keep it simple and share a dress secret in a DVF number I just found at Crossroads Trading Co. It’s a style that’s ideal for 3 out of 4 seasons in most cities, but especially in San Francisco. It’s also a trend opposite of all the bare shouldered strapless gowns we saw on Golden Globe’s red carpet. The time-saving, figure-flattering, fun-loving dress I think every woman should own is….
…A Classic Longsleeve Dress ~ It’s comfortable, warm in the winter and offers 2 HUGE flattering factors: If tricep dips haven’t been a priority in the new year or your shoulders are feeling extra pale like mine, sleeves cover everything! Choose a belted version or one with pockets for variety and pair with boots or tights. When spring rolls around, I can pair this with white platforms or nude heels.
Bling Up a ‘Boring’ Dress ~ If a simple dress needs a boost, it’s the perfect excuse to stock up on costume jewelry. I have candy jars full of Forever21 earrings for that exact reason.

50 Shades of Green ~ The color of 2013 has already been determined as emerald green, but you will be seeing hues from forest green, lime, sea foam to any Gumby shade. What would you call the color of this dress?
Goodbye SF ~ I’ll be in Beverly Hills the next few days for work, but I’ll be tweeting, instagraming @Savvy_Spice and facebook’n from So-Cal. Leave your twitter handle or instagram below so I can follow you.
