From Zurich, Italy to France and back, I’m experiencing my first December in Europe. While the weather outside is chilly; it’s nothing a mug of Glühwein (special hot wine punch) can’t handle. And this brings me to the Christmas Markets here in Europe. I love them! They are cozy, cold outdoor markets where you bundle up, buy gifts, hang out with friends and sip on special warm wine. Whenever I’m at these markets, I feel like one of Santa’s little elves who escaped a day at the toy factory for some old-fashioned festive fun.
Here’s photos from this winter whirlwind so far after touring rainy and snowcapped cities on my Savvy Sleepers satin pillowcase collection Euro Tour…
Today in Zug, Switzerland overlooking Zugersee Lake
Do you do snow? I’ve still never gone skiing or snowboarding; I prefer to chill in the lodge with fashion mags and hot cocoa. What about you?
Day 3 ~ Milan, Italy. Window shopping & espressos at the Galleria VITTORIO EMANUELE II (the oldest shopping mall in Italy).
Day 4 ~ Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France and the first snowfall of the winter season. This is one of the most popular ski resorts in France.
Day 5 ~ Geneva ‘the land of watch stores.’ Switzerland is one of the most punctual, organized, and structured countries I’ve ever visited. It’s been quite a culture shock compared to my usual SF routine.
Day 6 ~ A Winter Highlight. This is one of the Christmas Markets in Zurich and the black jacket I’m wearing c/o Westcomb has been a daily staple. It’s specifically designed for sub-zero temperatures and weighs less than a pound, yet it’s super warm!
<DETAILS by Dale> Faux Leather leggings ~ H&M (similar Michael Kors here), Boots ~ Franco Sarto riding boots (similar here), watch ~ Michael Kors, Sweater w/faux fur (recent) ~ F21
Thanks for all the support so far and I’ll be hosting a Savvy Sleepers ‘Slumber Party’ giveaway once I’m back in the USA. I’ve also been posting ‘Euro Tour’ photos to instagram @savvy_spice
Have a great week! ~xoDale

Looks like you are having a great time… lovely photos. I’m not a “snow sports” person either… a massage, cocoa, and a novel are much more my speed. In the summer, it’s a different story… I would be out on that lake in a kayak so fast that your head would spin!
Sounds like a fab holiday! Love your sweater, your ring & the fur scarf!!!
I’d love it if you visited my blog too sometime and if you like it, do follow too!
