How to Wear Wellies. Step 1: Laugh at Yourself ~ The moment I put on these pink Hunter boots with this tutu style skirt, I felt like Jim Carrey in Ace Ventura during the mental institution scene with Courtney Cox. What Color is Your Umbrella? ~ I learned a trick a few years ago on a gloomy, rainy day in SF. If you carry a white, floral or colorful umbrella, it creates a little bright cloud above your head and just feels happier than basic black.
