New Autumn Style Secrets in an Old Summer Dress & a FIAT Pop

Introducing Fall Flux!Leaves are falling, daylight savings is around the corner, and speaking of savings; how about a little jumpstart on New Years’ resolutions starting this October? I’ve noticed a few Autumn inspired money, energy and time saving tricks lately.

Throughout this post, I’ll share how to transition an eye lit summer dress into fall with the help of a Goorin Bros. hat and debuting my new little Verde Chiarro FIAT 500 Pop. My FIAT is not only the lowest car payment I’ve ever had; this baby was incubated in Italy, but it’s matchcar MADE in San Fran heaven…

Brrr! How to Re-Wear Summer Dresses ~ It’s okay to wear white after Labor Day, but not if you’re going to freeze. Take a basic summer dress and start layering with fall trends. Add a burgundy sweater or scarf, camo jacket or chambray shirt over, tights under it, booties & a classic hat. Suddenly that summer dress you were ‘so over’ has new autumn appeal.

Fall Smoky Eyes ~ Autumn daytime smoky eyes can get tricky. I chose chocolate and rust colored eyeshadows to blend into the crease before adding Ardell lashes. I used pigments I already had in my makeup pallate but rarely used and mixed new neutral shades together instead of buying new colors.

 San FranRandom ~ As I was walking along near Ocean Beach there was a hastisly painted fence with some black birds stenciled on the bottom. They stopped my suede booties in their tracks. Even if it does save on yard decor this Fall, I don’t recommend DIY fence stencils.

Downsizing in SF? ~ I recently discovered the perfect solution for zipping around SF. Introducing my new 2012 FIAT named FiFi. The little Italian invasion commercials sucked me in and once I test drove this FIAT Pop, here’s what really sold me: A. Great gas mileage B. I can park it in almost every space! C. It is really fun to drive! D. Capital Fiat in San Jose said they’d beat any other dealership in the Bay Area so I did my research and held them to it and was very happy. Leasing this car is half the payment of a gym membership at the Bay Club in SF. and E. The undeniably stylish details below….

Let’s Get Down to the Mint Green Nitty Gritty ~ I leased the FIAT 500 Pop manual transmission in the classic Verde Chiarro color. I loved the way it drives, the interior, sound system, it has 7 airbags, sports mode and there’s 2 back seats which aren’t as small as you’d think. Eventhough I got a stick, it has built in ‘Fiat Hill Start Assist’ keeping the car from rolling when you’re on hills in the city. According to commercials, leases start on this model now for $199 monthly with No $ Down, but talk to Jose and negotiate at Capital Fiat.  He was great and even picked me up from Cal Train in San Jose so I could drive home in my new car.
