Wow, it’s the first day of November and the only thing changing faster than autumn leaves and falling temperatures is profile pics on facebook. And I Like it! I’m amazed at all the different creative Halloween costumes, face paint, elaborate props and fun topical ideas friends come up with for themselves and their families.
With holidays requiring organization like New Years, Halloween or the 4th of July, it’s best to surround yourself with people you enjoy so if there’s a kink in plans, you can have fun and laugh your way through it!
There’s nothing more chaotic than not having a costume the day of a Halloween party which is exactly what happened to my sister and I Saturday. In need of a last minute costume idea, I called my mom. She had a Catwoman costume her 4th grade class had just used in a school scarecrow contest. Bingo, I borrowed it!
Here’s Our Crew Heading Out for the Night…
Me, My sister Jody, Justin the hill billy, Ryan & my brother Drew as the guys of LMFAO in their Party Rock costumes
Fashion Faceoff- I wore this costume that Scarecrow Catwoman rocked a few weeks ago
We started off the night at SupperClub in San Francisco. I was so impressed with the club’s decorations and the scary people they had lurking around grabbing your feet as you walked by
One of the gory horror rooms. We saw great costumes including “Black Swans,” Owls and Angry Birds
LMFAO Party Rock Crew & my sister, Poison Ivy
Thanks to some white spray paint & a Sharpee my sister created the LMFAO sneakers. These DIY party rock shoes can easily be recreated so you can have your own LMFAO crew.
We moved onto Polk St. near Union Square later in the night and it was packed with great costumes
With a red wig, old Tinkerbell costume, safety pins and a Dollar store Xmas wreath & my sister’s costume was created in a hour
I added my Aldo leather fingerless gloves and some $5 fake nails from Walgreens
We had a hard time finding Batman, but our neighbor Wolverine filled in just fine for a Comic book pic
Do you watch the show “Wilfred?” One of the funnier costumes we saw. He was totally in character
Finally, at the end of the night we ran into some of Batman’s other villians, The Joker & Harlee Quinn
And who else dressed like Poison Ivy for Halloween?
An ultra glitzy Kim Kardashian!
And speaking of a Halloween trick, how un-cool of Kim to announce her divorce after 72 days?! I guessed in August they’d last about five years and I actually thought she’d have kids with him. I was WAY off! Oops!
Sham or not, she could have at least waited to pull the plug on her marriage until after “Kourtney and Kim Take New York” season two aired. The show starts this month on E! and now I’m going to have to see and hear Kris Humphries the entire season as the two loser love birds pretend to make their “marriage” work. I don’t have to watch, but I probably will.
Somehow, Scott Disick is emerging as the “real” one of the bunch because he doesn’t pretend to be anything he’s not, while Kim is too much of a fake fembot for me now. Maybe Kourtney and Khloe can help her image?
I hope you had a great Halloween weekend!
Did you dress up and what are your thoughts on Kim’s divorce?
