I think it’s so important to keep in touch with your family. LAST weekend my mom, sister, aunt and I took a little trip to visit my aunt and family in Denver, Colorado. It had been 10 years since the last time we’d gone there and visited. It was well overdue.
Here’s a quick rundown of the trip:
|From Left to Right: My cousin Glory, aunt Jill, my mom, Me, my sister Jody, & my aunt Jean.
Waiting in Line at SNOOZE, the best breakfast I’ve ever had!
Later that afternoon we went hiking in Boulder
|Next, we headed to Boulder State Park for a hike. I had only packed sandals so I picked up a pair of shoes on the way. Gotta love TJ Maxx when your forget clothes on a vacay|
|On our hike in Boulder, CO. The weather was perfect in the upper 80’s all weekend.
We saw dozens of people on this hike. Colorado is very outdoorsy, I loved it!
|On our way down the mountain we spotted a bride and groom taking phots with their wedding party|
All of us out to dinner the last night in Denver…and the next day it was back to San Francisco
I hate to relate a positive topic such as keeping in touch with your family to “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” but I think viewers are partly fascinated with their family dynamic. The Kardashian klan is huge and growing with marriages. The family members that star in the show are very close. But for some reason, Bruce’s other four kids including Brody Jenner are rarely shown, which is a shame.
While the Kardashians fight and get in each other’s business, for the most part they all take care of each other (especially if there’s a product endorsement involved) which is what family should do.
So my little thought of the day is that if you’ve been putting off family or even best friend quality time, call them this weekend, send an email or Facebook message, set up a Skype appointment or mail them an old fashioned letter. Better yet, book a trip. After all, the holidays are around the corner.
