The deadly missing cobra forced the Zoo to close the reptile house and the massive search continues. I’m worried about it slithering to San Francisco, but this is the same type of Ancient Egyptian Cobra that Cleopatra was rumored to have used to commit suicide and the venom of this cobra can kill a human in 15 minutes or less, so I’m sure that’s freaking people out even more.
The story has been all over the news and an entertaining fictional Twitter account pretending to be the cobra has over 140,000 followers. So if you want to read about the Cobra’s updates and travels throughout New York City you can follow @BronxZoosCobra.
One of her entertaining tweets:
“Dear @CharlieSheen, know what’s better than tiger’s blood? Cobra venom.” #winning #snakeonthetown
OKAY, SO BACK TO FASHION…
What are your thoughts on wearing animal print? I think partly why they’re so fun is they’re racy, daring, exotic and can be classy. Most importantly, animal print can spice up even the most basic casual outfit.
Here are some of my general rules to wearing animal print:
1. Keep it Simple. You only need 1 clothing item in the animal print you’re wearing. No other patterns.
Jessica Alba in a leopard print scarf
JLo and her leopard print booties
I tried a leopard skirt last year going out with my sister
2. WEAR print in the actual color of the animal. Leopard print should be brown tones, Zebras are
black white, tigers are orange and black. You get the idea.
Last time I checked, I’ve never seen a cherry red, lavender or teal leopard.
3. How do those sayings go? “Leopards don’t change their spots,” and “Tigers don’t change their stripes.”
Maybe you could NEVER see yourself wearing animal print and if so, here’s my recommendation.
ADD a pair of leopard flats to your wardrobe. They make any simple neutral outfit look more
fashionable, plus they’re comfortable and you won’t feel like it’s TOO much.
